Townsville, we’re here, our new depot officially opens!
We’re proud to announce the opening of our brand new fully functioning, open air car carrier depot. Strengthening our commitment to deliver efficient and reliable transport solutions across North Queensland. Our team is ready to bring better haulage service, quicker towing deliveries, and more local support to businesses and communities throughout the transport region.

Car Carrier and Towing Fleet Expansion
We’re growing our fleet! To meet growing transport demands and enhance service reliability, we’ve recently added 4 new car carriers and a tilt tray to our line up, bringing our fleet to a total of 18.
This investment allows us to increase transport capacity while reducing response times and better serve our customers Australia wide.

Today we celebrate 10 years in business… 10 years of growth, gratitude and learning. A decade of building and we’re only just getting started! Thank you to our incredible team, loyal clients and supportive community.
Check out Rik, Troy’s father in law’s very first day back in 2017, Troy’s very first day starting IAT in Bluey 10 years ago and we can’t forget 2019 when he met his incredible business partner Matt who has been by his side with a very successful company between the two of them. Great work boys!

Transport Checklist

Creating a transport checklist for moving a vehicle is essential to ensure a smooth and safe process.
Below is a comprehensive vehicle transport checklist that you can use as a starting point.
Before Transport:
Choose a reputable transport company.
Research and select a reliable vehicle transport company with positive reviews, a good reputation, strong communication and realistic delivery times.
Verify their insurance coverage and licensing.
Clean the Vehicle & Document Damage:
Wash the vehicle thoroughly to document its condition before transport. Take clear photos of the vehicle from various angles, highlighting any existing damage.
Remove Personal Belongings:
Remove all personal items and valuables from the vehicle, unless you have requested transporting with personal items. In this case ensure items are contained within a suitcase or plastic container and kept within the boot. Ensure these items do not restrict vision within the vehicle. *Also check your items weight allocation.
Check Fluid Levels:
Ensure that fluid levels (engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, etc.) are at appropriate levels. The fuel tank should be approximately ¼ full to allow for loading and unloading. (Electric vehicles require at least 50% charge for loading and unloading.)
Check Tyre Pressure, Disable Alarm Systems & Fold in Mirrors:
Inflate tyres to the recommended pressure. Allowed one fitted spare tyre. Deactivate or disable any security or alarm systems and ensure the car is not fitted with an alcohol interlocking device. If possible, fold in side mirrors to prevent damage during transport.
Vehicle Registration, Title and Transport Agreement:
Ensure that the vehicle’s registration and title are up to date. Review and understand the transports company’s terms and conditions.
During Transport:
Monitor the Transport.
Keep in touch with the transport company for updates on the vehicle’s progress. The transport company should be in touch 24 hours prior to drop off to arrange an appropriate time to collect or drop off vehicle. Ensure you provide specific delivery instructions if you are getting your car dropped to a private address. (Access for a car carrier is imperative.)
Upon Delivery:
Inspect the Vehicle:
Thoroughly inspect the vehicle for any new damage or issues.
Document Delivery Condition:
Take photos of the vehicle upon delivery.
Final Step:
Finalize Paperwork:
Sign off on the delivery and ensure all paperwork is completed.
Retain Documentation:
Keep all transport-related documentation, including the final condition report.
By following this checklist, you can help ensure a smooth and secure transport process for your vehicle.
Always communicate effectively with the transport company and address any concerns or questions you may have before, during, and after the transport.
